What is a Hill
We All Have Hills to Take
Hate to break it to you but we’re at war. When you stepped out of bed you stepped onto a battlefield. All around us are “Hills” that are inhabited by the enemy. “Hills” that need to be attacked & taken back! Since the Fall in the Garden, Satan has been waging a war against mankind & taking ground. Sadly, most men never look up long enough to see the enemies inhabiting the “Hills” around them & stay focused on wandering in the meadows of their busy lives.
We all have “Hills” that need to be won
Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.
To be an effective Hill Taker, we first must identify areas in our personal lives that need to be improved. Maybe it’s incorporating an atomic habit or eradicating a toxic one. Personal “Hills” keep us from being the best version of ourselves.
Men were created for relationship, however they can be messy. Our interactions with those around us can have a powerful impact both positively or negatively. Relational “Hills” hinder our ability to display Christ-like love with those we love.
Work plays a significant role in a man’s life. Vocational “Hills” can be a deterrent in advancing the kingdom and being an effective witness.
Most of us live in close proximity of others. Our neighborhoods, towns & cities are full of people with tangible needs. Communal “Hills” provide an opportunity for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the communities we live in & interact with.
